Maine offers a wealth of out of school programs for students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The Reach Center, a project of the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, has created a STEM Resource Bank that connects these students with experiences that build enthusiasm and expertise in a specific topic area, and with other students that share their interests. The STEM Resource Bank has a variety of programs and the website is very user-friendly. Programs can be searched by the STEM branch they are in, the type of program what area they are located in, what grade level they are optimal for, or even what events are coming up.
The website is still under development and we are looking for ways to improve our site. When you visit the site please submit feedback. Your feedback, no matter how small, will help us to improve the site and make it a better tool for everyone that uses it. When looking through the programs, keep in mind that we are constantly looking to expand our Resource Bank, if you know of any resources that you did not see on the website be sure to click on the submit new resource button to add your resource to the bank!
