of the Maine STEM Collaborative
The Maine STEM Collaborative is a public-private partnership, developed in 2007 in response to the conditions in Maine that demand a STEM workforce in higher quality and numbers. The Collaborative has a general membership of many organizations, which includes members from K-12 education, higher education, business and industry, business associations, and non-profits. Together their mission is to increase the quality of STEM education, aspirations and awareness in the state through the integration, coordination, and promotion of efforts. They also host a bi-annual STEM Summit that provides current information and thinking to a variety of participants regarding STEM education and workforce in Maine.
